Solutions.

1. I have tooth pain for the past few days, what should I do?    TOP

Most of us think about meeting a dentist only when we have pain or some other symptoms like broken tooth or when a swelling appears, well tooth pain maybe because of several reasons like deep cavities , gum infections ,broken tooth or secondary caries infection which maybe seen under a already filled teeth .
Normally if the pain is not severe or if its just sensitivity, it can be filled normally, if the cavity is too deep this may need a more sophisticated approach.
This condition can be solved by a simple procedure called Root canal treatment, this is an absolutely painless experience with our expert team of dentists, unlike the common misconception that root canals are an extremely painful procedure.

2. I have started seeing brown stains on my teeth, what can I do?  TOP

Stains maybe of two types, intrinsic (the ones you have had since childhood) and extrinsic stains, this is one of the most common conditions seen; this happens because of some habits like smoking, pan chewing, even from consumption of iron tonics or a cup of tea!!

4. Toothpaste: when should we begin using it and how much should we use?   TOP

Fluoridated toothpaste should be introduced when a child is 2-3 years of age. Prior to that, parents should clean the child's teeth with water and a soft-bristled toothbrush. When toothpaste is used after age 2-3, parents should supervise brushing and make sure the child uses no more than a pea-sized amount on the brush. Children should spit out and not swallow excess toothpaste after brushing.

5.
When I smile my gums looks very prominent, I don’t feel confident to smile,
is there anything we can do about it?   TOP

6. Why Is Root Canal Treatment Called Endodontic Treatment?  TOP

Endodontic is a word composed of two Greek words, "endo" meaning "inside," and "odont" meaning "tooth." Endodontics is that branch of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases that arise from the soft tissues inside the tooth. These tissues are referred to as the dental pulp and they occupy the root canal space. Thus, endodontic treatment is also called root canal treatment.

7. What is a dental implant?  TOP

A dental implant is a artificial tooth that is embedded into your jaw permanently. It replaces a decaying tooth or can replace the space for a missing tooth.

8. What can be done for a single missing tooth?  TOP

In the case of a single missing tooth, a dental implant can be placed in the jawbone area of the missing tooth. The implant will serve as a replacement for a tooth root and an individual crown. The total apparatus is referred to as a single-tooth implant crown. Once in place, the implant crown will look, feel, and function like a natural tooth. They are cleaned and flossed just like natural teeth, and best of all, they do not require any special tools to clean around them like bridges. Although dental implants will not decay, they require impeccable oral hygiene.
